Found an organization that must stop using Slate and start using DOORS. They need to transfer their data, one time, from Slate as they upgrade ..err.. downgrade to DOORS. Anyone know how to export Slate stuff and import it into DOORS?

Re: Slate to DOORS Well, last year I worked with another division of my company implementing DOORS. And, they had Slate documentation that they wanted to get into DOORS. It was my understanding that they exported from Slate to Word and then imported from Word into DOORS. Now I realize that it probably did not bring all the linking etc., but it gave them a good foundation. I was only available to them for 3 days and did not participate in the actual transfer... i will ping the person, and see if she can remember what they actually did, and let you know here. gsdguy... |
Re: Slate to DOORS Here is a slick link from incose on Slate and most of its features etc. It appears that it has been around since Win95 days and up through WinNT. It was built to work closely with Word as its "what has changed checker" etc. This Incose link provides a good description of the entire tool as compared to all Requirements Management practices. Also includes some links to Slate support... i did not go to any of them to see if they are still Live.... if any support is still available, may find more info there. greg |
